In an earlier post I talked about goals and remembering the ones you completed that weren’t on your original list. That got me thinking about the people in my life. Okay, I also read it on someone’s blog. You caught me. 🙂

The post mentioned remembering to thank the people in our lives. During this time of the year, my family and I make a list of all the causes we want to donate to, usually local. We understand there are many people out there less fortunate than ourselves that need help. But what about the people in our own lives? The ones who encouraged and supported us?

This post is to thank all the people who helped me get through this year and every day in one way or another.

First on my list is my husband who really stepped up his game after I told him my goal to write full-time in five years. He’s been amazing with helping around the house and with the kids so I can focus on writing and making my dream a reality. YOU’RE MY ROCK!

Next is my bff Katie. She’s great at keeping me grounded and reminding me to take time for me. She’s also my awesome critique partner who gives me wonderful feedback on how to make my stories better. I love that she doesn’t sugar coat it. YOU’RE THE BEST!

I started the group CayWriters in January to create a support for local authors and it has morphed beyond my wildest dreams. I appreciate everyone in the group, but Lorraine Carey’s support and enthusiasm made doing things for the group so much easier. YOU’RE AWESOME!

I’m part of several online groups both on Facebook and LinkedIn, but the one dearest to my heart is the ChickLit Goddesses. They are wonderful in their support, encouragement, and lending an ear and valuable advice in my publishing journey. YOU LADIES ARE THE BOMB!

My first book, FOR THE LOVE OF JAZZ, was published December 2012 and since then I’ve gotten nearly 40 reviews. That wouldn’t have happened without the support of my Cayman peeps (family and friends), bloggers, readers, and fellow authors who love to read. My sincere thanks! YOU ROCK!

Wishing you a happy, successful, and fulfilling 2014.
