Welcome and happy Friday! My guest today is the lovely Sarah who I had the pleasure of meeting in the Facebook group Chicklit Goddesses. Welcome Sarah! Before we get started with twenty questions, please tell my sexy cabana boy what you want to drink.
I’ll have a Bellini please!
Nice! I know everyone’s eager to get to know you, so let’s start with some fun questions.
What is your muse?
Music. If I drive in my car, with some great music, I really feel inspired and my creative juices start to flow. I feel the same way if I read or watch a really great, fun, feel-good book or movie.
What genre do you write?
Chick-Lit. I read a variety of genres but chick-lit is my favourite; I love easy-reads with some romance, comedy, intelligence and the feel-good factor. So I guess it was natural I’d want to write in the same genre I enjoy so much.
What is your favorite book and author?
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. I read this once a year and I never get tired of it; it’s the first and best romantic comedy in my mind. I also love books by Paige Toon; all of her novels are fast-paced, romantic, funny books that make me cry, laugh out loud and smile.
(If you’re married…) If your significant other gave you permission to have a fling with a famous person, what five people would be at the top of your list?
Zach Braff (I met him last year, he was lovely)
Robbie Williams (a British popstar who I’ve loved since I was 12 years old)
Leonardo DiCaprio (oh so cute!)
Ryan Reynolds (again, so cute!)
Jenson Button (a British racing driver, I’m a big fan :))
What is your dream vacation?
The USA… I have been several times and have loved each place I’ve visited, but there’s so many other places in the US I want to see. If only I could get free flights, I’d return every year! I also love the Alps, especially in Switzerland… I have a bucket list of about 30 different vacation spots/countries I want to visit someday. Hoping to get to at least half of those.
What social media are you most addicted to?
Twitter. I mostly like to cyber-stalk celebrities, and read tweets that are trending during an event in the news or something that’s airing on TV, but I also love talking to my readers and interacting with other writers.
Tell us about your very first kiss ever!
Oh wow, it was awful. I didn’t know it at the time though as I had nothing to compare it to. It was a guy who was a couple of years older than me, who I had a crush on, and at our local movie theatre, after the movie. It was kind of sloppy and I don’t think either of us knew what we were doing. I wonder what he’s doing now… I hope he’s improved his technique 😉
Best dessert you’ve ever had and where you ate it?
My step-daughter (age 12) wants to be a chef. A few weeks ago she made amazing raspberry soufflés with chocolate sauce, which we ate at home and they were wonderful. She’s going to be an awesome chef someday.
Tell me a little about your latest release.
One bride to be. Three ex-boyfriends.
Izzy is engaged to Greg, who is everything a girl could want.
The trouble is – all she can think about is the men she loved before she met him: sexy Ewan, the first love of her life; dependable Jason, who loved her more than she deserved; and irresistible Dexter, who broke her heart…
Then there’s the fact that her sister has been missing since Izzy was twelve. After such a traumatic childhood all Izzy wants is a normal, happy, settled life, but love is never simple.
In the week leading up to her wedding day, Izzy is forced to ask herself who she loves the most. And, given the choice, who would she want to spend her life with?
