The Next Big Thing Blog Hop is a chance for authors to respond to ten questions about their latest book. The author tags the person who first tagged them, plus 5 other authors who will post on their blogs the following Wednesday.
First, I’d like to thank bestselling author, Leigh Michaels for tagging me. Click the links below to find out more about Leigh’s latest sexy Regency-period historical, The Birthday Scandal. I’ve read all her Regencies. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

Here is my Next Big Thing! Please feel free to comment and ask questions.
1: What is the working title of your book? For the Love of Jazz
2: Where did the idea come from for the book? The characters came to me while I was taking a bubble bath. The story unfolded in dreams and from the feedback of fellow writers.
3: What genre does your book come under? Romantic suspense
4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Definitely Halle Berry for my heroine. The hero is a little more difficult. If I had to choose, a refined Gerard Butler.
5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Jose races to solve a fifty-year-old murder mystery before she becomes the next victim.
6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency? My book is published with Crimson Romance
7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? About a year and a half.
8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? I honestly couldn’t say. Most of the romantic suspense books I’ve read are either tamer than mine or more graphic.
9: Who or what inspired you to write this book? It was a combination of the characters and the jazz club. I dreamed of both regularly and the scenes played out in my head again and again, so I had to write them down.
10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? The ghosts are the aunt and uncle of the main characters, and they forge an emotional connection through the main characters that keeps them guessing if what they feel is real or just the ghostly connection.
This is a very popular blog hop, so I was unable to find five authors in my circle that hadn’t already participated. Below are the links to the next chain of authors who will be posting next Wednesday.
